Benjamin faced increasing difficulty in booking shows after several incidents, including describing an individual as a "child molester" for raising a transgender child and using a racial slur onstage. In 2019, he was banned from several mainstream social networks and platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube for violations of their policies on hate speech, and moved to more lenient alt-tech platforms.
