He is best known for his starring television roles asΒ Ryan AtwoodΒ on the teen dramaΒ The O.C.Β (2003β2007), Ben Sherman on the crime drama Southland (2009β2013), andΒ James GordonΒ on the crime dramaΒ GothamΒ (2014β2019).
